Ulysses Fox began writing songs in his early twenties: citing the existential anger of early Modest Mouse, the mytho-romantic musings of Leonard Cohen, the absurdist humor of Father John Misty, and the fingerpicking styles of Shakey Graves, Doc Watson, and John Fahey as his primary influnces.
